Ammar Film Fest extends reg deadline

The administrative office of the 10th edition of the Ammar Popular Film Festival has announced that the festival’s registration deadline has been extended.

According to the press release, the registration deadline for the event has been extended to Wednesday, December 4 and the deadline for turning in films has been extended to Friday, December 6.

Filmmakers and applicants willing to participate in the festival’s competition section can register their films in the “Film”, “Cinematic Critique, Articles, and Research”, and “Our Film” sections by visiting the festival’s website at AmmarFilm.ir and submitting their films no later than five days after registering.

The Ammar Popular Film Festival goes against the promotion of “individualism and extreme enjoyment without caring about the society's troubles and other humans’ suppression,” the event’s official website reads.

The festival aims “to raise real awareness and responsibility among the general public, "the website adds, noting that the event’s mission is to create an atmosphere in which independent filmmakers and thinkers can gather together.

Fiction, documentary, animated films and music videos from Iran and other countries can participate at the event.

The 10th edition of the event is set to be held January 2019 in Tehran, with the exact date to be announced soon.
